1. App Usage

Iqamah is a free Islamic companion app designed for the Muslim community of Mauritius, Rodrigues, and Reunion. The app provides prayer times, a mosque finder, Qibla compass, daily Quran verses, duas, Islamic events, and community features. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms.

2. Account Registration

Some features require account registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

3. Community Submissions

Users may submit mosques, photos, votes, and other community content. By submitting content, you:

Confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
Grant Iqamah a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and use the submitted content within the app and website
Understand that submissions are subject to review and approval by our team
Agree not to submit offensive, misleading, or inappropriate content

We reserve the right to remove, edit, or reject any user-submitted content at our discretion.

4. Content Accuracy Disclaimer

While we strive to provide accurate prayer times and information, Iqamah is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Specifically:

Prayer times are calculated using mathematical algorithms and may vary slightly from times announced by local Islamic authorities. Always verify with your local mosque for official prayer times.
Qibla direction is approximate and depends on your device's compass accuracy.
Mosque information is community-sourced and may not always be current or complete.
Islamic events and Hijri dates may differ from those observed by your local community based on moon sighting.

We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information provided by the app.

5. User Responsibilities

When using Iqamah, you agree to:

Use the app respectfully and in a manner consistent with Islamic values
Not attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app's functionality
Not use the app to distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
Not impersonate another person or provide false information
Not abuse the voting system or submit fraudulent mosque listings

6. WhatsApp Notifications

Iqamah offers optional WhatsApp notifications for prayer times, Islamic events, and community announcements. By opting in to WhatsApp notifications:

You consent to receive messages at the WhatsApp number you provide
You can opt out at any time through the app settings or by contacting us
Standard data charges from your mobile provider may apply

7. Donations

Iqamah may facilitate donations for mosques and community causes. Please note:

Donations are voluntary and made at the user's discretion
Iqamah acts as a facilitator and is not responsible for how donated funds are used by recipient organizations
Donation records are kept for transparency and may be visible to administrators
Refund policies for donations are subject to the payment provider's terms

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and software associated with Iqamah are the property of Iqamah and are protected by intellectual property laws. Quranic text and translations are sourced from publicly available resources and are not claimed as our own intellectual property.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Iqamah and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to reliance on prayer time calculations or mosque information.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
